The Server is broken in some way!
Be it a crash, an error, or and admin screwing up, the server is inevitably going to crash. So, If it does, post here and be all like *alarm bells* OH NOES! SERVER DOWN!, And maybe someone will notice. Hopefully.

I didn't think you'd make it bigger in one time, I was hoping you'd do it in stages!![]()
i didnt made it bigger as the moment where the server crashed

Was it really because Nova spawned 100k blocks at once?

Server went down with the usual "no free heap" error, restarted around 15:55.
We didn't have that heap problem with proper hMod builds so im guessing the ghetto-fix is the cause.

Grr. Rollback. I suppose this wasn't as extreme as the last one, but I still lost all I had plundered from a mining operation, about 5 Obsidian Portals, and a water ladder hat made for me. I'm gonna go all mopey now.

Is it back up?
Feb 10, 2011, 11:02 PM#56
And I think it's back down.
To be honest, saving on the hour would be better than saving every day.

We tried that, but it lead to... complications.
Feb 11, 2011, 07:42 AM#58
That rollback wasn't intentional and wasn't from any of our daily backups. Partly my fault for freezing the server as I was running a heavy query to the mysql server (shrinking the log db from 4.5M to 1.9M entries)
Right now it doesn't look like we'll be doing this as it caused some performance issues affecting the other servers, so it's not worth it.

What do you think that big spike is? Imagine that every hour.
