The Server is broken in some way!
Be it a crash, an error, or and admin screwing up, the server is inevitably going to crash. So, If it does, post here and be all like *alarm bells* OH NOES! SERVER DOWN!, And maybe someone will notice. Hopefully.

A 503 error means that a service has gone down for maintenance. Perhaps Notch was updating something, I know he is implementing HTTPS authentication.

The update broke the admin mod, so we are either waiting for the old admin mod to be fixed, or the new admin mod Bukkit to be released.

Notch needs to hurry up and start planning that "release candidate" program.. so stuff like this doesn't just slap everyone across the face.

Not necessarily. Things wouldn't break so often/or could be easily fixed if there was some official modding API support?

I'm getting a "Failed to log in, user not premium" message. I'm whitelisted and I thought aprilon was free...please reply

That error message means you're logged into an account that doesn't own Minecraft(?), and isn't caused by our server. Try restarting Minecraft.
Aprilon is indeed free and will continue to be so.

You know what it was? I started my session in Minecraft in offline mode. Didn't think about that...
