I actually had one on it until recently, but I needed the desk space. It also didn't so much occupy one side of my (tiny) room as utterly dominate it.

2 graphics cards or he has a recent graphics card with 3 outputs. 
There's also a TripleHead gadget from Matrox which can multiplex your video signals to 3 monitors.
