I'm wondering if this map might be looked at and maybe considered to remove for the time being. Every time I've played that level the slightest imbalance in teams usually results in the rest of the rounds ending up in exactly the same manner, most likely because of how difficult it is to recover points. What usually follows is that alot of people on the losing team quit, also making it an even faster win for the opposing side. This gives out a lot of points on the stats thing and somewhat defeats the purpose of it all since it never really becomes a fair fight. The amount of rounds played doesnt seem to matter either since it's probably set to how much time has been played on the map, so it's happened that a team can get insane amounts of stat points.
Usually this would be fixed by teambalancing/scramble but that doesn't seem to work at all. So I'm suggesting that in case the scrambling can't be fixed anytime soon Carl might want to look at taking it away for the time being.
Of course this might just be me, and it hasn't happened much besides the times I was there. (aka on either sides of the team, not implying that I would have anything to do with it (because I suck))
Just bringing it up.

Agreed.
Last time I played it it was 18-0 before the time was up.

Sticky'd, just so I won't forget it later today.

I bet he forgot.

I for one would like to see badlands replaced as well. There are enough other fun cp maps to pick.

This thread is no longer about badlands but about Carls amazing ability to forget things

Everyone else complains when I call him Carl but Carl doesn't mind himself.

Dunno if my opinion matters or not, But I also agree
I think I was in a match the other day where it was literally 27-2 before the game ended. that's about 1round every 2minutes (If my maths is correct, which it probably isn't...)

Is Yukon on the map rotation? If not, then it's a shame, because that's one of the most interesting cp maps out there.

I approve of badlands and Gorge being temporarily removed and replaced with something else.

Well and Yukon are my vote!

What's wrong with Gorge?D:

I dunno, I think the main problem is the CP maps that have the type of gameplay that lets you cap in both directions instead of just attack/defense. Personally I love Gorge because it's a hard map to attack and defend in (especially including the latest updates). The multiple capture direction ones are the ones that usually end up onesided, aka granary and badlands.
But that's just me.

As much as I love granary, I have to agree with this. Earlier today the teams were fairly balanced to begin with and ended in a stalemate a couple of times. Then blue began to push a bit harder, resulting in us eventually winning the round, at which point many of the players on RED began to disconnect/ragequit resulting in a massive imbalance and BLU steam rolling the RED team in the last 10 minutes of the map. The outcome of granary being played in this manner resulting in the server going from full to this:

As far as replacement maps go, I'm going throw my vote in for steel (the shifting enviroment helps to change players attitudes towards the way they approach the CP and it's a pretty fun map once you get your head around it

I did like CP granary (very cool map to play engineer, as it has many varied engineer spots) Also has a big advantage compared to CP badlands, that it is not so narrow at the end.
I like CP badlands also, but it has a tendency to be onesided. (Especially if one team is too dominant, as it will be fast if loosing team get defensive and have many quits) Be agressive as a team, and look for team balance. (Make them bleed alot before the oposing team cap the neutral point)
CP gorge, the map I played the most in the CP rotation server. Find it excellent.
So, these three maps mentioned above I find really fun to play.
CP dustbowl on the other hand, I have played so much in the past. Quality map for sure, and last stage is really good. But, a bit used up I feel.
Other than that, I also would like to see CP steel. I like the plot in that map, and the fact that much of it is indoor, and that you have multiple choices to end the game.
Just some toughts.

Just a thought, why not have the server running 4-8 different maps? And maybe reduce the time to around 45mins. Might be interesting to see how it turns out.
