Just got back from it. It was an alright film I guess. The ending was a bit unrealistic tbh.

SPOILER ALERT:

How the hell do guns, bombs and missiles fails to take down a bunch of smurfs on birds with bows and arrows. Also, if they were really americans, they would have nuked them.

Pfft! Did you not see the movie?!
They were near that tree-thing, which fucked their guidance systems up, so they couldn't lock their missles, or use their navigation electronics. And they were really fast! :3:

With a nuke you don't need to aim, just get it in the general direction :P

Maybe they are uneffected by nuclear radiation :).. I mean sure the initial explosion would have done some damage ;).

Maybe they don't wish to ruin the recources they want so dearly? ;) A nuke would pretty much destroy everything, and then they wouldn't be able to get near the place for harvesting, as there would be radiation EVERYWHERE...
In your face, Mr!

Also, the mineral was called Unobtainium, couldn't they take the hint?

Using Avatar, I have proved I can't photoshop :S

I tried to make myself an Avatar Smurf thing using my own face and failed.

Lets hope someone releases a tutorial so I can do it without making an arse of it :S

Rofl. :P Hehe.

Just watched it yesterday in 3D. Can be recommended. Didn't make the movie better, but the effects were pretty good in 3D.

The name actually does exist for real, but it's basically just there to define the perfect material that... well, doesn't exist because of that. It's a nice reference, and has been used before in The Core.

:v
