"Friendship ends in one day"
Comic is from one week ago and new weapons were ordered from saxton hale, shipping time for saxton hale is exactly one week according to the old order sheet thus tomorrow we might get some new weapons
or something important.!
also! Valve snuck in this update 2 days ago

I hope so too, I always play soldier
This was actually predicted on the Steam forums, one of the users decompiled the game binaries and found out which classes those new sounds were being played to

Haha. xD People can't help but to crack everything possible.
Then again. Waiting is for teh noobz.
I play demoman when other people don't know how to. So when they have too many sentries, and we can't push the cart, I just change demoman 2min and they're all down.
So easy to exploit a demoman's weapons.

Maybe it's time to raise the cap on Demoman and Soldier on the server? XD Or perhaps it's a good reason to keep it exactly where it is!

I think it will be a new game mode for TF2 actually. When the announcer says there is nothing like healthy competition. The competition could be a team of soldiers vs a team of demo's.

Robin Walker already confirmed that it's not a new game mode.

Which I am actually happy for.
Well then again.. I think I just want the new weapons..

So the new sounds are only being played to certain classes?
That makes sense as other people didn't hear what the announcer was saying, so could be the start of the demo vs soldier update

Normally, each class update was announced and prior to release we used to saw pages about weapons, achievements and the like in a time span of 5 days. Then a weekend went over it and release was on tuesday (wednesday for us europeans).
So if this is really an class update they must have stepped out of their strategy!?
Exciting though.

Heh. I wonder when it will be "tomorrow". Everything is hazy in Valve Time.

I just thought of something. The text can have another meaning.
"Friendship ends in one day." Could be a general statement, no? That a friendship can end in one day, not necesarrily as a countdown.
Just something I thought about. Apparantly, from what I could read on the Steam forums, (Which is being bombareded atm), Jason sent a mail around to the HLDS maillisted people, with the text:
Of course, this could just be a troll, as the sentence doesn't exactly give any meaning withouth the work UPDATE crammed in between Team Fortress 2 and Will be arriving.

Yeah, I saw those both earlier on the steam forums, both are viable. Most likely it will come today, the pumpkin patch update came around 10:30-11:00

Awesome! Good job Valve.
I believe this is actually one of the more efficient ways of making a patch, as the two forces will be mostly focussing on fighting eachother, while everyone else hack them to pieces.
Im going to join the forces of DEMOMAN aswell. :]

I know Karl was gonna limit demo's he might also want to limit soldiers for the duration of this event
