if you are tired of being in a losing or in a stacked team post ur thoughts here!
im here to make difference, we dont need stackers anymore!! i know MOST OF THE DONATORS think this is a BAD thing....but if you are thinking best of the server you must see more than your belly! it cant be right that every map we have all the same 5 donators in the SAME team and then whole bunch of people wait in spec to join THEM!!

cmon people we all want fair play!

Agreed. We appreciate donators, but the server already has a stacking problem, and most of the donators always !swap to the stacked team because they wanna win.
Jun 13, 2010, 08:16 AM#3
I agree here, this is also why I so far chose not to donate.

agreed x100000000378504595555555555555777777777776666666

doubt !swap gonna be removed, so maybe some need some fresh, regular playing admins to scramble shiz up every night, although I do see Aya trying to mix it up when he's on.
Stacking is at its worst at peak hours, 4-10pm gmt imho.

I have tried scambling teams every now and then, only problem is when noone actually gets scrambled. :(
Jun 13, 2010, 09:33 AM#6
ye why does it do that?
is that a valve problem , or the server? When it scrambles like 2 ppl :(

The scramble does work the default scramble ignores donators and each player has a 50% chance of ending up on the same team so you won't actually notice anything because all it can do is randomly scramble red with blu, admin scramble does the same thing but includes donators but again its totally random so might not change you or any number of people.

How about a limit on how many donators per side?
Jun 13, 2010, 06:10 PM#9
what if the limit is 2 per team but there's 5 donators then? :3:

Simple: don't set the limit to 2 per team. :v
But really, donators_online / 2 per team :)

I wasn't meaning a limit on Donators on the server. I meant more of a balance limit. Like if there are too many Donators on one side, they cannot switch and have to stay on the other side.

But wouldn't that contradict the idea of being a donator? That you are not affected by ATB? Also, wouldn't that mess up if the losing team is the one with the many donators, and donators from the other team couldn't change team to help out?

This is true.

Right now, VIPs are no longer immune to scrambles. :)
Within this coming week, the !swap command will be removed.

Feel free to like/hate/give feedback on that :v

Just so people know, removing the !swap command was my idea, not Karl's, so if you want to give anyone crap for it, you can direct it to me.

!swap was being abused to the point where many (not all) VIPs were using it to deliberately imbalance the teams, either in strength, numbers, but usually both, because they want to be on the winning team.

As Karl mentioned before, gScramble will be updated soon. The new version apparently includes a bugfix that fixes the problem we had where the scramble only scrambled like 1 or 2 people (it scrambled less and less people the more VIPs were online).

Really? So donators only benefit from +20% medic charge, no fall damage, some crazy hats and lvl100 weapons? Isn't the immunity for scramble the main thing why people get persuaded to donate? :monocle:

Seeing as scramble immunity has been out of the motd for some time now, I don't think so.

Personally, I think the main thing people want is the custom hats and the reserved slot (and possibly team balance immunity).
