Canon are booming at the moment, their ranges are getting better and there are some great cameras around.

Thanks. Took a bit of looking around, but it ended up with that one (Canon EOS 1000D, or the brother 450D (Which is better, but too expensive for my skill).

I paid 3500DKK for the camera, an EFS 18-55mm objective, 8GB memory card and a bag. =]
3500 Danish kroner = 470.324839 €

I love it. I have been taking pictures of everything in the house, and a little outside. I need to get out and take more vibrant pictures. Too bad the weather out here is utterly poop.

awesome, I've wanted to get a nice dslr for a while, but they are really expensive. They cost as much as a computer for a decent one. If there is ever a really good one for $300-$350 I'll get it right away, but that won't be any time soon.

That's my camera (sony t700), it takes pretty bad pictures despite its $400 pricetag .

I'm probably going to get a flip ultra hd camcorder so I can start making HD films

You can't customize the ultra hd, only the mino.

Also a friend of mine just recently got the Canon 450D and he swears by it, thinks its a great camera.

I wanted that so bad. ;_; But it's like 300€ more, than a 1000D.

I already have a Nikon D40 DSLR, cost me about £320 when I first got it. Has lasted me a good 2 and a bit years. But I'm need of either a new autofocus lens or a lens repair.
