My computer seems to suffer from a problem over the last weeks, meaning 1/3 of the times I open Steam, it stops responding when connecting my account.
Does anyone have experience with this problem or know what may be causing it?

Does this cause the program itself to be unrecoverable, in other words, it doesn't continue after not responding for a period of time?

Takes ~3-5 minutes till it responds. Then it might stop again on the Steam Community front page.

I've had this problem before on my laptop. I just tried to ignore it as annoying as it is lol. I got a new PC though so.

I'm clueless. Why not try asking or searching the problem over at the Steam forums.
