Fraps is the best unless the game has a built in recorder like TF2 which MC doesn't, if you're lagging with fraps then there isn't a lot you can do, anything other than fraps is pretty bad for quality :(

I recommend Fraps! If you lag while recording, play around with the framerate and use Half-size function if necessary. It fixed some problems for me when I tell programs to use less cores sometimes, you could try that too :)

okay, i shall try that when i get home. any more tips on how to make fraps work better or any ¨easier¨ program?

My config:

Video Capture Settings:
50fps, lock framerate unchecked.

Sound Capture:
Record Win7 Sound, Stereo
Record external input
(both are checked)

Don't sync audio and video is unchecked.
Hide mouse cursor is unchecked.
Force lossless RGB is unchecked.

My video capture hotkey is F9.

Well, Fraps IS the best, but if you can tolerate some lack in quality, you can try out WeGame < clicky

I tried WeGame.. I thought it was crap at least. You might find it different though. :)

But anyhow, as many have said previously, run fraps in half size, and set FPS to 25-30. If you are still lagging, there's not much you can do, really.. Except get a better computer. :)

Live recording your screen is rather demanding I'm afraid.
