Stop turning these threads into Mac vs PC. The new freezer 7 pro did nothing, reached 95'C when playing L4D2 last night, so yeah. My dad reckons it has nothing to do with my case, but if you've seen my case you'd understand why I think he's wrong, actually.. here's a picture of the freezer 7 pro in my case, and my case in general.

1) How can you play L4D2 when you don't even run a PCIE 16x card? xD

2) Did you change the thermal paste when changing the the coolers?

3) How old is your CPU?

4) Did you try leaving the side of your case off, when playing?

1) No idea, runs on full graphics though :D

2) Took previous paste off from the CPU. New cooler had pre-applied paste.

3) About 2 years old now.

4) I have tried before, but it doesn't help at all.

Well.. If you have new thermal paste, tried with your chassis off, and your CPU is "only" 2 years old.. Then it sounds more like the cooler is crap.

To be completely hones, I have no idea what could be wrong. It would seem like the CPU just run extremely hot for some reason.

I have almost the same CPU, x2 5000+. I have a stock cooler, I also have a crappy small case, and mine doesn't run hot.

Weird.

My computer has even worse specs but never runs hot. It's 4 years old too.

Well, taking the side of the case off following Karl's recommendation seemed to help a bunch. Thanks for your help anyway :)

Sounds to me like airflow is your problem. Maybe you should consider looking into your airflow and looking at where is it coming in, where it is going, and where it is being exhausted.

Yeah this is of course a temporary solution to my problem, and won't last until next summer when it gets hot again. So yeah my airflow sucks.. I've only got 1 fan that takes stuff out.. and just small holes at the sides, no fans at all really, there's no space for new fans I don't think either. I'll probably need to just find a nice case.
