As some of you already noticed, some of the things you made on our Minecraft server were gone. More specifically, the things you made after january 28th.
Our old host, liteserver.nl, cut the power to our dedicated server (which houses not only our Minecraft server, but all our game servers, except GMod) for no reason, which corrupted the entire map/world. Because of that, we had to roll back to our newest back up, which was january 28th. We apologize for this, even though it is not our fault. However, as of now, things are changing:
- We will now make a backup of the Minecraft world every night.
- We have moved to a new host, and a completely new box since this happened. The reason for this, is partly due to the unnecessary power cut by our old host.
- The new box is located in Roubaix, France as opposed to Groningen, Netherlands. The new box also has more ram, which should handle the server much better.
- The server now runs on a less buggy hMod. Still buggy though, but we need to bear with it until Bukkit is released.
Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience you might have experienced! We have learned from our mistakes, and hopefully, these improvements will give you a better experience in the future.
