Post #1
Seeing as I couldn't find a thread for how to request for someone to be banned ( I probably didn't look hard enough, and it needs to be reviewed anyway ) I decided to make this.
So yeah, I'm seeing an increase of ban requests without any evidence what so ever, and really It's pathetic and is wasting our time.
We CANNOT ban anyone without evidence. We know how stuff works on the server, and you could just get someones ID, Post it on the forums, and they get banned, Without doing anything.
Also, editing GMod screenshots to make it look like a player has done somthing wrong, will get you banned.
So? How do I make a ban request?
One;
Get the players ID
You can do this by typing "status" in your console, ofcourse without the ""
Copy and paste their Steam ID
Two;
Get evidence. Use the "Print screen" button on your keyboard to take a picture of your screen, and you will get a picture of what they're doing wrong.
Three;
Upload your picture to a Image hosting site like Imageshack or Photobucket.
To link a picture to your thread, you must paste your picture link, hilight it, then click the "Img" button at the top.
Four;
Put all of this into a new thread, so it looks similar to this:
Few tips
-More evidence is better
-Types of evidence can be Console Logs, although not good, Pictures( You NEED them ),
-Don't go into Camera mode while screenshotting. This takes the playername from the prop while you are looking at the prop.
-DO NOT put stuff like "OMG FAGGOT PROPPUSHER BAN". This will make you look stupid and your reputation wont look good, and may even get you banned.
-If a player is Mic spamming, you'll need a video for us to hear the sound, as a screenshot of they're voicecom box won't do so good.
This dosen't just go for GMod, It goes for TF2 too, if we ever get
Cheaters/hackers/ragers/Micspammers on our servers.
Ask if I have forgotton somthing and I will edit this thread.
