So I've been reading and gotten some advice and help from Reaper on how to enforce a derma skin on the client. This works so I want to create a new skin but I'm not sure what the colourscheme could/should be.

I'd want it to be similar to the forum styles (but the new forum design haven't been finished written yet, so we'll go with derma first and the forum colours next or whatever).

With some help of some webdevs here (jamza, moglizorz and dave?) we can design the forums together on my home network server (with given ftp accounts)? Would be good help if you could!

True that, especially if it's a bright yellow.
But I was imagining it more along the line of this smiley.

That or a light blue-gray.

You should take a look at the logo of the steam group.

So dark gray/black.

I like light-blue gray for the skin. Not sure about the black gray, it's kind of already default on the GMod derma skin, lol.
