Well since so many ppl keep asking for 1.3
Might aswell post it here

First off
Download Minecraft 1.3

This does NOT contain any mods or texture packs

Q: So, i downloaded and extracted Minecraft 1.3 , what now?
A: Go to your minecraft folder which is located at .../user/Appdata/Roaming

to get to this folder simply type %appdata% in the Windows search bar and press Enter

The Minecraft Folder is called .minecraft

I recommend making a new folder and copying the existing .minecraft folder as a backup

Once backupped open the .minecraft Folder and Delete:

The bin folder
And the resources Folder

And replace them with the extraced bin and resources folder
from minecraft 1.3

And there you go, you successfully downgraded to 1.3

Also keep in mind that when starting Minecraft DO NOT update
It usually asks you if you wish to upgrade, just say Not Now
