Yes, my Steam account has been disabled, and I have no idea why lol
I sent a ticket to Steam Support this morning, and I am curiousily waiting for an answer.

Anyone knows what usually causes disabled accounts to happen?
Any tips that I should include if I decide to write more?

People's accounts also get disabled due to hat trading 'scams'. Did you scam anyone or accept free hats?

Also, could it be you messed something up in the steam store and accidentally charged back money, or something else like that?

Did you:

1) For example, trade 1 hat for more than 4 hats, accept 3 hats in the first trade, you give nothing, and then logged off before you did the second trade where he'd give you 4 hats and you gave your hat? That's scamming in Valve's book since you just stole the 3 hats and then logged off. This could also mean, renaming items so they're called Unusual or Community (i.e. Unusual Trophy Belt or Community Backburner) and then trading them to some idiot for lots of hats. That's also scamming.

2) Got good deals, which is just ripping people off, but they agreed to it, so you win (I do this all the time, and it's completely fine).

3) Accept free hats that someone just gave to you for nothing in return.

I've heard stories of scammers getting their account back, but your backpack will be deleted.

Neh, Blooztah, my friend had a regular fedora, and I had a gold fedora, so we joined random servers and I said I was painting hats for free, he gave me the fedora, I gave him my golden back after a few seconds, then people started giving me their hats, then I left. Which also explains why I always was changing names.
In the end Blooztah convinced me to give him all the hats, I think I gave him 15+ hats. His account was also disabled.

No 1 scammed me but i gave a lot of free stuff on Aprilon server past week are those items gonna dissapear?? Ears, Apo4char, Tiger and a few more guys. I gave hats and Tokens.

WTF are those items going to dissapear even though i gave it as i needed nothing back.

Alien, the reason he got his account disabled, was because people reported him for scamming them.

No one is going to report you for giving your hats away.
