Guitar Hero + My Drums.

I've been learning to play drums for a while with the Electronic kit Yamaha DTXplorer.
What got me started wanting to learn drums was the game Guitar Hero World Tour.
I became pretty good at it, after playing practically everyday in the 2009 summer at a mates house.
Since I have got the real drums, I haven't need to play GH anymore. (Probably because my GH drums was over-used by me and the pads stopped working :P)
But, I still want to play GH. So what I am going to do is hook my real drums up to my plastic drums via MIDI, format some shiz onm the computer and play!
Any comments at all? The thread to link it up is here:

Alll I need now is a MIDI cable :P

We don't have shops like RadioShack in the UK..

That's not really true.. If you're looking for electrical stuff there's alot of shops that supply it in the UK.

Maplins or maby RS Supplies just to name a couple.

Additionally theres enough UK based websites that will sell MIDI cables.

And as for the link up... I can't really see it working.. but let us know if it does.

Most music stores will sell MIDI cables.

Otherwise if you want to connect your drums to your computer and do essentially the same thing, I believe Roland have released a program as well that can do that as well, as well as taking midi music files and organizing them so you can use them as notes to read and practise with.

Will probably get this as soon as I get a laptop :p

Although I guess if you want it solely for actually being able to play on GH with others as well then you might not need this :p But it's a good learning tool!

Broke the original Rockband drums by playing Metallica - Battery on expert. :/ Kinda not working too good anymore, but was a nice game
