Al Gore and his climate cronies are always banging on about how the planet is heating up and how winters will get hotter. What a load of ballocks, in my life time I have never seen where I live as low as -25C but it is now. Yeah, thats much hotter :S

Isn't it that winters get colder and summers get hotter?

Yep. Global warming would also bring a new ice age. So this "could be global warming."
Personally, I have never actually believed in global warming. I have done extensive amount of research on the subject when I was in high school, and there's TONS of proof that Global warming is a hoax. Well perhaps not a hoax. People tend to believe whatever's easiest. Instead of actually doing the research, they trust the "smart" people in the news, and jump on the band wagon. The point where we are now, global warming is almost a trend to care about. If you say that you don't care about global warming, people think you are stupid. "DO YOU NOT CARE ABOUT OUR ENVIRONMENT!?" Uhm. Are you stupid?
I mean. Human-emitted CO2 is only 1-3% of the worldwide CO2 emition. The biggest "culprit" is the ocean itself. And damn we got loads. Also, researchers have discovered that the icecaps have been ALOT further back than they are now, as they have found houses, buildings and bodies. But back then, they didn't have any CO2 emition? So how did they melt?
A danish researcher have also disovered a theory about something called "Sun spots", which is generally just saying that the suns activity (Solar winds), can be felt on earth, as some tiny molycules in the air, form clouds when they are hit with the solar winds, and more clouds increases temperature.
Well.. One thing is certain. I don't think people should stop reducing their CO2, I don't think people should do whatever they want, so I think this is a good idea. I mean, you can think of it like this: If we did something, and it wasn't global warming, what have we done? Wasted some money, but gotten a cleaner environment. If we DIDN'T do anything, and it WAS global warming, what would happen? Well we don't really know, but a new iceage could be a possibility.
Well.. As you might have guessed, I was extremely bored when I wrote this. Having no computer is killing me.
Im downloading TF2 on my lappy as im reading this, hoping it can run it in low resolution.
It's fairly new, though not the stongest, but im hoping.
ManIAc out.

If it is true, then I'd rather be living my life while we have it, than extending what would most likely happen anyway. The earth have been through ice ages before, and as far as I understand, humans have survived it, so with our technology today, how could it go wrong? Nontheless, I don't want to waste my time on fearing it, to be honest,
I.. Dont.. Give.. A.. SHIT!

I hope they close the schools here. But it's highly unlikely since our school building is all new and it's warm. :p
Anyway, at some place in Norway (I heard on the news), the temperature reached -35 C.

Global warming as we call it is just a phase that that the earth goes through every so many thousand years. It's not a disaster, it's a cycle. As ManIAc said, us humans barely influence it at all.

That is what I believe aswell, Aya.
Jan 5, 2010, 11:02 PM#8
Yeah. Global warming is bullshit.

I've never seen snow like we've had in the past couple of weeks before.
And apparently it's going to hit -15C on Friday, which is just insane. (For Edinburgh)

Are you crazy? Absolutely not, I live further north so we get the best summer in Norway more or less
Jan 6, 2010, 08:12 PM#13
Further north, better summers.
What?!
I thought northern Norway = arctic circle = omfgmyballsarefreezingoff

It's because Norway is a vulcanic active island. So that's why it's so warm in the summer. The vulcanos are frozen in the winter period.

Since when did we become a vulcanic active island... Norway isn't an island?

I see my sarcasm just bumped off on the surface of Karl.
Of course I was going for something extremely stupid as an answer, and hoping he went for it.
Im from Denmark for gods sake, I belive I live close enough to know that there isn't any active vulcanoes in Norway, and that it isn't an island. :]
Sarcasm fail.

Think of the little ones, for whom the world has just begun!
