To Karl:

Hey,
Like it is possible to count for example reflected rockets & arrows. Is it also possible to count the following:

Reflected Jarate,
Reflected sentryrockets,
Reflected basebal stuns,
Burning Arrows kills,
Players used engi's teleports, (also, you only get few points for creating the teleporter, but if u have 90 people who used it, it doesnt give you any points, maybe every 25 teleports used +10points or something?)

If I can think of more things to count (if that is even possible) I will put it in this topic.

Well there are a few things not being counted at all, stuns for example are listed under the daily awards but it doesn't count them, is an event maybe commented out, likewise for razor breakin both the jarate awards and a couple of others like hungry hungry heavy, not sure if its just configuration error or if its something that broke and was never fixed by the HLStats CE guys, would be cool to enable all of the daily awards just because i wanna get them all >.<

I don't know if any of your requests has events for HLStatsX to pick up.

You don't get a HLSX point when someone uses your tellie, if that's what you mean. :)

Yep that is what I mean :)
You get 1 point for 2 teleports ingame, but you won't get any HLstatsx from it, only for making the tele's.

I'll have to check sometime later if TF2 actually fires an event upon using an engineer's teleporter.
We already know that it fires an event when it builds one, as such it is picked up by HLStatsX (and it is able to count). Without an event (which can also be looked at as server log feed), it won't be able to do any of those things unfortunately. :(

Can you check if an event is fired every time I ragequit?

I doubt Valve made anything like it, doubt they have even though of it.

Was a joke, but alright. :] Could have been fun.
Dec 7, 2009, 05:08 PM#11
you would crash the server 2 times a day cause the event would overflow :P

Technically speaking (>:]), yeah!

Engineer: Lets hope for the best :)

Definitely yes, or it would at least cause big lags

Technically, indeed. It'll be sending massive data and I do think that over time SRCDS in the long run will get slower and slower (laggier). But this doesn't really happen until like 3am at night so at the moment it's all ok. The new servers on the new dedi has managed to handle 3 days of update without any lag and during the day the servers have been full (which is quite good for new servers anyway). Relatively, they're starting to get popular and even at a faster rate than the first server when it was started in May 2009.

i gotta question , why do we lose points when lets say when i get killed by a person with 2000 points, what is the point of this?

i die a lot, its just my thing....

Else everyone's stats would skyrocket. The HLstats are meant to evaluate someone's skill, and someone with skill doesn't die that much, compared to one without. (Well, of course that also depends on a bunch of other factors)
The minus score is designed so the further down the rank the person is, and the higher you are compared to him, the more rank you lose, because you got killed by a "noob", or someone who's just started. This, when you turn it around, also means that the "noobs" gets lots of point from killing the good people on the server.
