Demomen limit ?

Hi guys !

i noticed that it gets more and more like demowars especially on goldrush its very hard to win stage 1 vs 6-7 demos stickycamping and spamming everywhere. i think a cap like 4 demos each team would be good to balance this a little bit cause even ur team is a way better its hard to avoid the nades of 6 or 7 demos even if they only spam normal nades and dont use stickys. that has nothing to do with skill or good teamwork.

All in all my suggestion: Demo cap at 4 would be good and easy way to stop this

i dont know if i am the only one who noticed that so feel free to discuss and tell me if im only talking bullshit ;)

TBH i don't remember ever seeing more than 4 demo's really, i know it always seems like there are more of them when you see people dying to nades etc, mostly with pyro's, bad spies always complain you have like 6 pyro's when infact you only hae 3 but they are all doing their job properly :P

Nade spam is hard to gauge for numbers just because all the while one is apmming another is reloading and the spam never seems to end :)

But thats just my view

Well it happens quite much that a team has 5-6-7 demo's. But if you haven't seen it much yet, it shouldn't be a problem at all if the demo cap would be 4 :) No one will notice then anyway (in your point of view!)

I think a cap of 4-5 is acceptable, the old 24/7 PL I used to play on had a cap of 1, it sucked.

its most of the time goldrush stage 1 red team cause its too easy to get the blues killed with spamming nades after 1st cap. i often play demo myself at that point cause its too easy to kill the blues without beeing killed a lot.

@ goose i didnt talk about a cap of 2 or 1 i said 4 would be good choice and donators can switch anyway

But if you haven't seen it much yet, it shouldn't be a problem at all if the demo cap would be 4 :) No one will notice then anyway (in your point of view!)

Sure does, I hate it when you just get constantly killed by Demomen.

I for one sure has noticed the new trend, too. Nothing is more annoying than sticky camps on the first stage since their damage range and scale is still tremendous ..
Of course, they are ways to counter them, but it ain't always that easy and also depends how intelligent your fellow team mates are.
I too think a limit of 4 or even 3 (just like sniper) would suffice.

3 is too little since demo's are pretty important for the game, mostly.

thanks for your fast action karl ! if there are too many people who feel bad with the limit u can raise it to 5 or something. just need some feedback
