Splash page

Hey, I need somthing easy, maybe somewhat funky and fancy for the index of aprilon.net (not the forums). I doubt I won't be listing who has donated and stuff anymore, maybe just the monthly budget and our status within our economy.
If you have any personal opinions on how it should look like, please reply.
I've also been thinking that maybe incorporating most of the pages (such as the donator pages) into the forums, but I don't know if that'll work well. For what I know aprilon.net could all of a sudden change into a TF2/GMod/general gaming news website with our own CMS (or just wordpress) ~nyan.

Since this wasn't any success I went ahead and created a new splash page.

Either lower the background image, or lower/separate the link columns - It looks a bit crushed up.

Still could use some more spacing and the text could be bigger, although I do have a big monitor so it could be that. Otherwise nice

For some reason when i hit the flashing donate text on the bar below the top banner forum it takes me to a page that says
EDIT: There actually is the donation button in the splash page now, but it still gives me the error when I hit donate.
Aprilon Dynasty apologizes.. And there is no donation button.
The requested page could not be found.

Suggestion: Disable the blinking donate for donators.
Also, I'd suggest using the css "text-decoration:blink;" rather than the HTML Tag "<blink>" for better compatibility.

I don't know if phpbb3 has syntaxes that will let me disable the blinking for donators.

I actually rather like the new one, I was thinking of making something simple up the other day actually but looks like you beat me too it, maybe i'll give it a shot anywho.
