With Hoodoo out of the picture for this weekend are there any alternatives for a good payload map we can use on the server. It's a shame valve doesn't have many payloads.
Would something like this work?

it would be interesting to test that out, but at the same time it could be pretty unbalanced because it wasn't meant to be a payload map at all, reviews for the map are pretty good
here are some more custom ones.

and a ton more here: http://www.fpsbanana.com/mapcats/3440?m ... &sort=desc
Not sure if any of these would work, but might be worth a try for a round, tell me what you think. Frontier and dustbowl would work the best probably if they would work at all. I think I'll join a server later today that has one of them and test it out.

I think the only problem here is download bandwidth, i know Karl doesn't want to have the server serving files to too many people as it add's to his bill for the server, i did offer to see about sorting out some bandwidth from my web server to help but it wasn't exactly easy to do and there is the question of how much bandwidth would be needed etc.

I see that makes sense, guess this is not possible.

We have enough bandwidth, the point is that users doesn't really want to download custom maps (and the same for content). They'll not appreciate it because maps are around 15-30 megabytes and this can be a pain for people with no patience and low bandwidth capasity (bad connection/limited download).
