couldnt connect to msn, wow, xfire, or anything, browser took like 10mins to load a page,

reset router ect ect, and nothing worked

is it because a lot of people go on after that time or something? or because people like to download stuff at that time..........

right now im posting this because its speeded up a TINY bit, just enough to check my pages

SUE THEM!!!! :P

Im kinda thinking that might be possible now under sort of. They used to be able to give you any speed and call it broadband as the term 'broadband' wasn't legally defined. Now it is set at 256kbps legally. SO technically, under the trade descriptions act, if you don't get 256kbps they are breaking the law sort of. Im not sure whats in ISP's ToS etc when you signed up but its still a nice thought :D

Virgin Media are providing Fiber Optic now and they are wayyy better than BT though, since BT internet still needs to run through a phone line, and of course their home hubs are a pile of shit.

Virgin however are pretty bad when it comes to slowdown/outage. I remember back when NTL were around, they kept the connection solid almost all the time.

No Virgin took over them

Best buy for the buck on internet atm? In england ofcourse is Be*.

They have amazing packages, they are solid and they stick to their word. Only downside is you require a BT landline.. which is definatly a downside.

Virgin have some good packages too and they are currently working hard to make theirs the best buy.. we'll see how that works out for them.

Virgin Media is probably the worst ISP out there (second to AOL ofc...), here in the UK they are so laggy and unreliable!

People are probably getting ready for fapping by downloading porn, could this be the cause?

I don't know why people complain about Virgin Media so much.

I hardly ever have problems, apart from the daily limiting if you go over the daily allowance.

I might just be lucky.

There's nothing wrong with Virgin, it's the fastest in the UK and lowest latencies, why wouldn't you want it?
People that say it sucks haven't tried it without a computer clogged with viruses :3:

Totally agree with Mog and Gob.

It's absolutely fine, especially within London.
