Respawn time adjustment and/or more payload maps?

Just like to start off saying: nice server, and decent people playing nearly all the time. It's one of my favourites :D

Nonetheless, there is a pretty obvious trend on which team is likely to win any given round. If you're Red, then you'll win 95% of the time. The obvious cause of this is the instant respawn time - it makes it almost impossible to progress to the next stage of a map, which is a shame because that cuts down the variety. I don't think I can ever even remember seeing the third stage of hoodoo on this server, and likewise for the third stage of goldrush. So... pretty much the map rotation is restricted to three stages... Badwater, 1st stage of Hoodoo, and the 1st stage of Goldrush.

So, is it possible to add a *small* respawn time to blue, just to balance things out a bit? I'm not talking anything crazy like 15 seconds, but somewhere in the region of 5 seconds more. At the moment it's just totally unbalanced. I've been on one of the best blue teams I've ever seen, against a truly mediocre red team - red were totally outclassed in every respect, but it was still impossible for us to complete the first stage of Hoodoo. This was simply because as soon as a red team member died, they could be back in the fight in a couple of seconds.

Failing an adjustment in respawn times, could we maybe have some extra payload maps to make up for the lack of map variety? E.g. Frontier, etc.

Cheers,

Fraz.

I agree, it's really frustrating to find a fun and co-operative community like this and have things sullied by near-instant respawn timers.

It just makes some (I want to say all) maps unplayable.

Could you possibly extend the respawn timers or revert them to vanilla setting?

Interesting thinking. This have never bothered me personally but I know many want changes. I like challenges:) But I think we should try it out then make a final call.
