After the first system reinstall I've done since I installed my new GPU (nVidia GeForce GT 220) which I got shortly after the start of the new year, my HL2 finally started working properly after all this time. I did originally have it on Xbox 360 but I couldn't get on with the controls. Absolutely cracking game, does not stop at keeping you on your toes. My favourite sequence so far is the airboat escape down the canal out of City 17.

Awesome! It's a lovely game, and I hope you chose to purchase episode 2 aswell, as that is really great too.
And I believe that HL2:DM follows every copy of HL2? Doesn't it?
