It should run on it. I'd ask Jamza as he owns a MacBook Pro.

Minecraft runs just as well on Mac as it does Windows. I have used it on both and there is no difference.

I have a Radeon HD5770. Runs all my games at highest settings. I'm sure that it'll be fine simme.

The ATI 6xxx series are light GPU's. They are cheap and efficient, but they won't run high-end stuff.

You could easily play Minecraft or stuff like WoW with it, but probably not games like Crysis 2, (Not that it's that demanding) and so on.

So it all comes down to what you want to use it for. (?)
If you're also going to want to play high-end games, you should look into Nvidia's new 400-series, they should be rather good, or so I have heard.

I personally have a HD 5870, which still kicks ass. :)

I have an HD 6870.

Apparently:

6870 equals a kinda 5860. A little better than 5850, but not better than 5870. :D

Sounds about right. :)

AMD and Nvidia usually does this. When it's been a long while since they have released a new GPU, they do a re-release of old GPUs, but make them more efficient and much much cheaper.

Fear my Radeon HD X3870 X2 !!

Srsly, it runs stuff like Crysis 1 (the "eat ur computer" crysis, not the 2) pretty smooth on average settings xD
